I’ve spent the whole day with Ingvild doing nothing other than things related to food, except from one thing while we ate rice crackers; she put hair tinsel in my hair! :D
As I said, all we’ve done today are things related to food. I’ve been eating everything from sausage, grass jelly, red bean mochi, coconut milk rice crackers, and so on. I’m actually enjoying one small portion of miso soup while I’m writing this. I don’t really understand how I can eat this much… And this guilt thing I’m feeling right now……….. GO AWAY.
There is especially one dish I often crave when I’m hungry, and that’s the Vietnamese dish pho. When I lived with my parents, I didn’t like this dish at all – I guess I got tired of it. But after moving out I can’t stop thinking about it. When I’m visiting my parents I always ask my mom to cook pho for me, her pho is seriously the best and I can’t find any better.
Ingvild hadn’t tried pho before, so we decided to have it for dinner. It’s not something I bother to cook for only myself, so this was a great opportunity to finally have it for dinner.

One another thing I miss about my mother is that she’s the only one I eat durian with. I don’t know other people around me that can eat this fruit 
A lot of durians I saw earlier this day, it really made me miss my family. I should visit them soon!

Wow, I’m exactly the same way about Pho! When I lived with my parents, I had it all the time so I didn’t appreciate it until I moved out too. Now that I’m off on my own, I miss it so much.
There’s just nothing like it!
I also know what you mean about durian. I love it but my boyfriend can’t stand the smell. Why does durian have to be too big for one person?? :’(

Haha, I was thinking that I might have been a very spoiled girl for not realizing how much delicious food my mother cooked before! But it seems like a lot of other people also change their opinion on food cooked from parents when they move out… I guess we get too used and tired of all the yummy food, and when don’t have it anymore we will realize how good it actually was!
Hahahaha, my closest ones can’t stand the smell either, the only people I know is my family and unfortunately I can’t visit them too often. I ask the same, why doesn’t smaller durians exist?

Jeg fniste da jeg gikk forbi en boks durian i brugata. STINKY FRUIT STAY OUTSIDE. Har hatt lyst til å prøve, men er livredd for at lukta er too much haha.

HAHAHAHA ja jeg veeeeeet. Er alltid noen som ikke skjønner hvor lukta kommer fra også, når de går forbi. HAHAHAHA
