I had a mini moon festival celebration with Ingvild last Saturday (30.09.12). To be honest, it was only by a coincidence that we found out that the special day was at that day.
I had some free time I wanted to spend with Ingvild, so we did one of those spontaneous meeting we use to do once in a while in between our busy schedule. I was supposed to see someone else that day, but he cancelled so I had the whole day free which I didn’t know what to do with. We’ve always talked about drinking bubble tea together so we thought why not.

We first went to a Asian super market store because I wanted to have a look, and I ended up buying one moon cake and a lot of snacks since I can’t resist those kinds of yummy stuff.
We went to «Ice cream & Sandwich Bar» located in Rådhusplassen, which claims to be Oslo’s first place that got bubble tea. I’m not sure about that, since it seems like all the other bubble tea places are also saying the same. None of us have been here before, so I was quite exited about trying their bubble tea.
The place itself is really small, but the interior is really cozy so I actually don’t mind.

Honey melon. 35NOK for a small and 55NOK for a big one, if I remember right.
I must say I was very disappointed with their bubble tea… Ingvild felt the same with hers milk tea flavored one, so it doesn’t have anything to do with me not liking sweet stuff in general. It tasted too sweet and I felt more that I was drinking milk with sugar than honey melon flavored bubble tea. Oh well, at least we have tried this place now!
Ingvild invited me over for dinner, and then we got this spontaneous idea about calling it a mini wannabe moon festival celebration since I desperately wanted to eat that moon cake I had bought earlier. We got curious about when the real date way so we decided to find out. Surprisingly, we found out that we were holding our celebration on the right day!

Our super cute way to celebrate lol

Vietnamese moon cake
Can’t say that we did much more than eating (how come I always eat like a whale when I’m with friends
I don’t have control at all) and talking about those stupid and meaningless girly stuff, but those times are the best! I know for sure I wouldn’t have changed this day :-)

Hei!
